I don’t “take distance” from any statement, we’re playing a historical game after all. Why is the word “jew” offensive to you, are you antisemitic? I don’t remember his exact name, but if you can check the beggining of the game.

Congratulations. Your ban has now been upgraded to a permanent one.

Very nice, ban me for saying the word jew when others talk about killing children on your server without issues. Have a great day, jew.

Hello @Jewlover69 as you can see we are carefull when somebody is calling other people jew.. it can be offensive in nature.

Are you being antisemitic or why can’t my name be jew lover? Don’t you also love jews so much?

A gamertag like “Jewlover” can be seen as questionable because it refers to a religious/ethnic group (“Jews”) in a way that is ambiguous and can be interpreted in multiple ways.

Some reasons people might react negatively or suspiciously:

      • It highlights a protected group. Usernames centered on race, ethnicity, religion, or nationality often attract scrutiny because they can be used sincerely, ironically, or provocatively.
      • It can sound sarcastic or trolling. Online, names like “Xlover” are sometimes used genuinely, but they can also be used mockingly. Other players don’t know the intent.
      • It may be associated with controversy. References to Jews are unfortunately common in both antisemitic trolling and arguments about politics, so some people may assume there’s an agenda behind the name.
      • Context is missing. A username such as “CatLover” is usually unremarkable because it refers to an animal. “Jewlover” refers to a group of people, which raises questions about why that specific group is being singled out.

That doesn’t mean the name is inherently offensive. Taken literally, “Jewlover” simply means “someone who loves Jews,” which is a positive statement. The issue is that online communities often judge names not only by their literal meaning but also by how likely they are to be provocative, misunderstood, or interpreted as a joke.

In short we would like to see the context

As I said previously, you take offense for a word.
I want to be upfront: I inferred the player’s religion from their username, which had a name ending common among Jewish people, something berg or stein, can’t even remember, and used it to identify them instead of just saying “the tank player” or referencing their username directly. Banning someone for something like this doesn’t seem fair in the slightest.
As for my name, it’s just that, a random username.
