      Hi guys,

      Just wondering is it normal for RS2 to start up slow? like the opening screen on desktop is on for like 1/2 min before the game launches is this normal or is there anything i can do about it?
      I have a fairly decent PC.

      Sorry if obvious, but i found that sticking RS2 on an SSD (assuming you have both an HDD and SSD + it’s currently installed on your HDD) really helped – more so than other games. Sped up map loading and the initial splash screen.

      Got the same issue, the initial loading of the game is slow – as you say, even before the rs2 splash screen appears. Tranferred my game to my SSD a few months ago coz if you dont, you got noooo chance of your preferred role… M72 for me ( as well as a few noted others … Bravogolf… ! 🙂

      Good tip on adding  -nostartupmovies to launch options. looks like white screen of death but quicker than watching/skipping through the titles. Thanks for that
