If you’re sick of the load time to start up RS2, you can skip the intros by adding:  -nostartupmovies   ,to the games launch options in steam. I am now in the menu in a few seconds.

for some reason, this hint doesn’t work for me. Just at this time the screen is dark and you still have to wait for the game to load

yep , doesent for me either. Just goes to white screen for the same amount of time the video’s play. I tweaked my game using an old SSd about 10 months ago but had to reinstal, for the life of me i cant find the tweak which helped me join the server before the sniper and thumper were chosen. Oh well, new Pc this year at some point.

Installing the game on the SSD helped me to quickly load the map and select a class. The difference is huge. But the loading of the game and start videos did not change for a second
