Historical background: This was a battle of the Vietnam War that involved the People’s Liberation Armed Forces (Việt Cá»™ng) and the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN). U.S. helicopter survelliance had spotted a large group of Viet Cong fighters assembling in a forest glade near Long Dinh. General Nguyá»…n Khánh immediately rushed his heavy infantry forces there, using APCs.On February 26, 1964, three-thousand regular South Vietnamese soldiers encircled the PLAF 514th Battalion at Long Dinh. During the 8-hour battle, the South Vietnamese army avoided contact with the VC, instead the ARVN commander relied on air and artillery strikes to inflict damage. As a result, the PLAF 514th Battalion was able to slip through the gaps and successfully withdraw from the area, using sniper teams to secure river crossings.
Developer notes:Hello everyone, as you may know, I have pushed my SuongMu map on a few servers and its shaping up very well. Number one issue is that map currently unbalanced and very linear let alone it has some bad technical aspects, tho I want to assure you its already being worked on. I’m gonna leave a link to a map download, so both server admins and players can try it out. In this thread you are free to post any kind of suggestions, schemes of a better map flow and etc.
Historical background:  This was a covert U.S. Seventh Air Force and U.S. Navy Task Force 77 aerial interdiction campaign that took place during the Vietnam War. The operation began on 11 November 1968 and ended on 29 March 1972. The objective of the campaign was to prevent the transit of People’s Army of Vietnam (PAVN) personnel and supplies on the logistical corridor known as the Ho Chi Minh Trail (the Truong Son Road to the North Vietnamese) that ran from the southwestern Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam) through the southeastern portion of the Kingdom of Laos and into the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam).On February 26, 1964, three-thousand regular South Vietnamese soldiers encircled the PLAF 514th Battalion at Long Dinh. Developer notes:This map is a territory map based on a fictional location. It is ready for testing. The VC attack and there are 6 objectives. It really just needs balancing and testing. I tried to integrate every good thing from the pre-existing stock maps into one solid map. Keep in mind as of writing this, this map has never been played on a server. However all the objectives, kismet, and spawns/spawn protection have been tested to work. Please keep in mind the lighting is NOT final. ( I still need to add interior lighting to the buildings.)

The latest release of my map JungleRaid. Lets start with what’s new:
B6 additions/changes: – A & B are lock down objectives for attackers – E & F are lock down objectives for attackers – Music Radio readded into the base with new music! – Expanded H point Capzone (Bigger cave system) – Destructible cave is more clearly marked and displays more accurate messages – Ambient sounds finally work! (yay!) – Ticket adjustments – Balance shift. (B5 favored the defenders far too much) – Village House interiors polish (Still not 100%) – Airfield cap zone has been tweaked – Additional detail and polish on the airfield cap zone (Still not 100%)
B6 will be the last release before the FINAL RELEASE.
Scroll through these pictures and examine the minimap. This map has a whopping 9 objectives and can take quite a white to play out. I know there are remaining issues on this map. Please write below in discussions what you find.
Known remaining issues:
– Tunnels still destroy themselves but only when objectives are captured! I am trying to figure out what is causing this…
