Been looking at World War III on and off for a few months and contemplating buying it the Steam Sale. My question is, does anybody have experience of this title, or is it waste of time, outside of the reviews page, after an honest opinion…thanks 🙂

The game itself would be pretty sweet, the problem is that the playerbase is too low to properly enjoy it. They lost a lot of people:

Thanks for that info edeka, seeing the drop in player base indicates either a problem with gameplay or developer rollouts – the numbers speak for themselves I guess. Going to have to look into this further, as that dropoff does ring alarm bells and buying into a potentially dead game has no benefits at all. A shame because it does look like a lot of fun.

It’s a fun idea but not properly optimised, a lot of sights (especially sniper ones) just don’t seem to load and yeah the player base consists of about 1 EU server

Thanks Chad that’s also quite illuminating, as it’s starting to look like WWIII’s aspirations can’t match up with cold hard reality.

Insurgency is good….apart from the 95% crash and given the lukewarm reception of WWIII, it’s starting to look like the title won’t be going into my library any time soon. Still how many war themed FPS’s can one person play at any given time 😁
