Bad news first; about 50% of the time I’ve gotten into a match, my keyboard has gone haywire and the keys are generating random inputs on each press. This means I have no control in-game, and if I go to the key bindings and try to set the keys, each time I press the same key I get a different output i.e. pressing W to set it as forward came out as O, 3, D, J, M etc.

This only happens in Beyond The Wire. The game is up-to-date and I’ve verified the integrity of the game files. I have reported the issue to Offworld Industries.

The good news is that the PBS server for Beyond The Wire runs very nicely. I’m not sure whether there were issues with the only other populated server, or verifying the files fixed this, but either way, I didn’t get dropped back to the menu within seconds of entering a game.

If it does this outside of the game I would suggest your keyboard may be damaged. You could try giving it a proper clean with compressed air etc to see if that fixes it.

The only time I have had a similar issue was after I tragically(For us Brits anyway…) spilt some tea onto my keyboard. Thankfully, I left it to dry and after a clean it was fixed.
