Hi people from PBS,

I decided, since I’ve started to actively play Hell Let Loose, to give PBS a shot. I have previously made an introduction topic, but that was not with the intent to join yet, merely to tell you I was out there playing on your servers. My situation has changed recently though 🙂

I’ve ran into Frank (powerbits) once when Battalion 1944 was just starting off, setting up servers for my community. It’s been a while though 😛

So here I go,

I am PowahRanger, 23 years of age, but soon will be 24.  I am from The Netherlands and working full-time as a technician since I finished my school/uni about 3 years ago. I have had a really bad 2020, losing my uncle to cancer, and my grand father to old age. And getting diagnosed with a chronic illness myself as a christmas present. I was diagnosed with AS, which is a type of rheumatism that affects the lower spine, SI-joints and hips. I have bad, really bad and sometimes pretty good days. Life really sucks sometimes. I like to talk about my illness though, to spread more awareness. So please, if you have unexplainable lower back/hip pain look up Bechterew’s disease.

Okay enough of the boring life talk x)

I have been around in gaming communities ever since I laid hands on a keyboard. When I was young I played a lot of Runescape, Enemy Territory and older Call of Duty and GTA games, GTA being my absolute favourite.

Just a few years ago I was still very invested in the older Call of duty games and actively participated in a community by the name of Royal Soldiers. I have been with them since 2016( And I still am but in means of a retired/advisor role) and its my first long-term community to be part of. Having gone through all positions within the community, but mainly community leader on the discord. Every year (since about 2018) I start to notice that I can’t keep up with the new generation of players on call of duty. This,  and the fact that CoD4 is around 14 years old now has made me lose interest in call of duty in general. I think I’m getting old lol.

I have played GTA Online actively since it’s release on PC, and got to rank 1000 in january of this year. This being my last goal in that game, because ever since GTA 5 went free on the epic games store, the cheating problem skyrocketed into another universe. For me it’s nearly impossible to play normally in lobbies due to constant harrasment by either players or hackers. I decided to quit GTA Online this february and move on to something else.

So that’s where I kind of came back to Hell Let Loose, which I rarely played on some weekends for a match or two. So far, this game has fit me well. A bit slower gameplay, and a sense of teamplay and making an actual effort together. I really like to play medic but generally pick any role that needs filling, though I tend to avoid squad lead and commander as I am a bit anti social and cant really deal with having to talk and listen to more than 3 people at once 🙁 I went through levels 1-45 without talking at all actually.

This is me, and I hope to see some of you around on the servers. Maybe I will even talk sometime lol

I know the feeling of constant pain, I also use medication to dull the pain.  Have fun on the battlefield sir
