      Hello,

      We all know about the spec ops squad which was recently found. I have some suggestions about its utilization . First of all its deployment its crucial. I have proposed in another thread that since the game will not have airborne mechanic and transport vehicles have not entered the game yet , there must be a fast way to get in front ( and in this situation even deeper in enemy lines ). A tank or a recon vehicle should carry in this case the spec ops SL in a position which should have distance from current objective and place an OP so its squad can deploy there and perhaps place nodes. Secontly, the philosophy of this squad should not be to engage enemies in a large battle or try to cap points. They should focus on harassing the enemy. For example placing at mines and set ambushes on roads or passages which are used by enemies to reinforce the front. They will have recon profile but they will act aggresively. For that purpose this squad has to be consisted by cunning players with aggresive character. Also they have to be very experienced not only in game but in the class they use. So I propose a squad of 4-5 players having reached 100 level in game and 8 level at least in the class they use. This is because they need to do their job quickly and without doubting. For instance an experienced engineer knows where to place an AT mine and how to hide it without taking this a long time. An experienced anti tank knows where he should fire on a tank and has the skill to hit it from a long distance. It would be awesome if this squad has the proper outfit for the occasion. Since it is a special forces squad all members should have airborne uniform. As germans will wear the fallschirmjaeger uniform ( Green Devils ) and as americans will wear the m42 or the m43 (us paratroopers). Other tasks for this squad should be the destruction of rear enemy garrisons ( even in locked territory) , resource nodes ,enemy fortifications and repair stations. Thats all. I m looking forward to test this officially because i know people who has this profile that i m reffering and we should use their skill against other clans. I can tell from my experience this squad is a devil squad , it is really annoying and it can make the enemy really frustated.

      Nice! On our training against Russian teams I noticed they had prob. one squad taking seperate positions in houses (around Customs) and harrassed us badly. One squad kept 3 defense squads very busy……and 2 of their attack forces where therefore able to overrun the objective. So if we use that kind of tactics it will be a true advantage. On maps where often a stalemate occurs this can be very effective to advance or break through enemy lines.

      Sounds like a fun idea, I’m not sure level 8 in the role is very important though. For example hitting a tank at 200+ metres with a bazooka is not hard nor is placing good AT mines or just being accurate with a rifle. I think it would be more sensible to select people based on ability and their own desire to do it rather than their rank. Length of time played in a role is not a good indication of skill in my experience of FPS games.

      I believe the most important attribute for a person in such a squad would not only be skill in their role but their ability to reliably attend wars and trainings. The squads synergy would be crucial and members of it not being able to consistently attend battles would reduce its effectiveness.

      Well, willingness always matters however by maxing a class’ level also means the interest of the player to play this role. Maxing a class is really very difficult and needs effort from 6 level and up. Yesterday i was playing AT in three or four games and destroyed about 20 tanks in total with 900 combat effectiveness in each game. I only managed to get 1/3  xp up as being level 6. In my opinion experience is more important, for example someone wants to play arty, the question is, can he do that? Or is he so effective as his desire to play. So we need to find people first with experience and then we will take notice other factors, after we will put them to the test and see how effective they are in this kind of squad. Finally, i believe that very good recon players are also a good choise for this squad, because they are familiar with that kind of tactics. So, I will ask the community to express its interest about this squad by posting a picture of their classes in this thread. Then we will make squads perhaps one primary and one reserve and will see how they are doing. If there are no people with these requirements then we can lower the standards.

      Count me in, but I’m level 8 only in the officer role (lvl 97), I consider myself more of the flexible type rather than a specialist, so I got level 4 as Ar, Md, Su and En… plus the tank roles…
