Here are some tips on how to use (mainly) AT mines
Some basic stats to start us off:
-AP mine has a kill radius of about 4m
-AT mine has a kill radius of about 11m (Vehicles must drive over to take dmg, but ppl in trucks do die if they are in range)
-Both mines exlode if they are in range of another explosion (regardless if friendly or foe)
-The explosions can be blocked by line of sigh
Generally try to keep mines away from places that you expect to be shelled by arty, tanks, grenades. In those places the mines usually get destroyed without use.
Some tips for AP:
Generally try to keep in mind where you usually walk. Close to walls, hedges, in ditches and trenches. If you get a feel on where you usually walk, look at the area form the enemy side and place your mines where you would walk if you were the enemy.
Chokepoints can also be nice, but people often expect enemies in chokepoints and usually see the mine, so imo its best to keep mines away from the most obvious spots.
Tips for AT mines:
Try to look at larger areas where tanks cannot cross, those areas funnel tanks to the nearest spot where they can cross. Breaks in hedgerows for example are a good place to put mines. But you always have to keep in mind, unless its a light vehicle like a truck, the AT mine will not do wonders on its own. Its best used in combination with your team, some examples: Having a friendly tank engage the now weakened enemy, Having AT launchers or AT guns ready to finnish of the low hp tank. Having inf shoot the crew if they jump out to repair (can often happen if the enemy thinks they are safe, for example if they are not at the front yet).
Some specific funny shenanigans:
Using 1AP 1AT mine close enough that the AP mine can detonate the AT. You can use this to clear the spawnpoints in wheatfields for example or just have a bigger boom.
Placing many AT mines on walls that vehicles can drive trough. The Wall will prevent the AT mines from blowing each other up, meaning you can hit the tank with multiple AT mines if you are lucky. This can often kill Even heavier tanks.
but here is the main thing: you with your 6 AP and 4AT mines will probably not do much, but if you can convince your teammates to place mines aswell that can quickly turn into dozens of AP and AT mines, the more mines there are the easier it is for the enemy to run into them
