So, after recent Nvidia driver update (365.19, release on 2016.5.13) i’ve got severe FPS drops in BF4 on ANY settings, from LOW to ULTRA. FPS drops to 20ish on all maps.
My specs:Â I5 – 6600K /MSI GTX970 / 8GB RAM / WIN 7 Ultimate 64bit
Late evening yesterday managed to get FPS back to 120-160ish with following working temps: Core 1 – 75C Core 2 – 75C Core 3 – 68C Core 4 – 65C GPU – 86C
So GPU temps i too high, today will try to clean fans and see if that helps.
What I’ve done:
Reinstall BF4
Reinstall drivers with DDU (installed PREVIOUS, not current version of drivers)
CCleaner
Defrag
Kill all processes including chrome and geforce experienceMy question for GTX970 owners is what temperatures do they have while gaming and did they got any issues lately?

I would use a good registry cleaner.. I have used this allot when i used AMD hardware and also removed the repositories.
And then reinstall the full drivers again..

FPS drops seems to be only in BF4(WoT and WoWs seems to be preety stable), and no, it’s not overclocked.

Is Origin overlay still on? Turning it off helps for me when I stream. With origin overlay on I had like 60 fps (with drops). When I turned Origin overlay off, I had like a stable 120 fps. Also only in BF4!
Origin -> Settings -> Origin in-game -> uncheck “Enable Origin in-game”

I did try turn of origin in game, same result. Anyway, yesterday reinstalled windows, so today late evening will try out if it will change anything. Keep in mind that I will install only BF4, so won’t be on TS.

Ok Drgzs
I can confirm that new doom nvidia driver will F up BF4 — full stop — two people my end both with 970gtx had the same problem and had to roll back there drivers to mar release drivers — basically — it screww up the graphics within the game lots of tears and weird stuff — some it might be the same reason its slowing your FPS eg having to work harder ….
either way fingers crossed fresh install solves your problems and you can get back into the war zone 🙂 Â HOOAH

So, in that case which driver should I choose? Not latest, that’s  for sure. Maybe stick with those which came with card?
