      Hi Drgzs

      I have a MSI 970 and are pretty much running your spec except I’m on W8.1

      GeForce GTX 970 Gaming Edition

    • Core Clock: 1140MHz
    • Boost Clock: 1279MHz

      • The best fix for your problem is to install the default drivers === eg ones that came on the cd — the chances are its the drivers — as my GPU runs around  70-80 deg which is normal more or less — BUT this could be a little different – depending on your PC Case what Fans or water cooler you are running and how hot it is in your area / country — EG UK is not that hot 90% of the time 😉

      I run FPS monitor in the top corner on my pc all the time — the FPS changes for Every Map — as they are all different in depth and quality — I tend to run just under ultra quality but no AA or very low  on a 1080 res — I get around 80- 129FPS on ave — but maps like c0cker l0cker I tend to get around 190 fps …

      So just dust out your PC – Clean all the fans — Clean install Default drivers and then see what you get — just remember there are lots of things that can change FPS  from game to game — Could be that you just have 5 teammates on your screen playing the game as a squad HOOAH!!! — eg PUB games = no teamwork no squad players near you 😉 😉

      Anyway — hope you fix your problems and the rule of thumb is to not update GPU drivers UNLESS you have too — as they always Feck some thing up, as they are more or less fixing new games not the old one  he hehe..

    Update – nothing new on FPS front. Will be checking thermal paste, I guess.

      Hi Drgzs

      Before you start messing around inside your pc  (as this can do more harm than good)–

      Remember what you said!

      It only happens in BF4 — <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>nothing else</span> = not a PC hardware issue — more a software or game issue — it could even be another program running in the back ground that has been updated — eg teamviewer ( i use to remote has been working fine for 3 years — last updated either with TV or BF has caused this program to have an Nvidia error crashes when you making BF4 full screen remotely hence — software changes causing problems —

      BF4 changes all the time — they are for every tweaking it — I personnel think at the moment they are trying to resolve the 60hz server problem as they are playing around with the back end servers ALOT of late ===..  BF4 is a test playground for BF1…

      anyway thats my 2 pence on the subject I will go back to my little hole  😉

    Well, you might be right. Anyway, i have about 1GB of personal data on PC, so wiping out Windows is easy. Most probably will try that on weekend.

    Yes I Clean install — will at least – confirm if there is a bad program file – causing any problems — but I do think the out come will be the same – eg FPS might not change – eg what Res and hz is your monitor running at 1080 or higher ?

    Just for curious, if any – ran Aida 64 and Prime 95 yesterday – 0 throttling, 0 errors… Temps on MAX were <80C for CPU and GPU with 100% load.

    BUT there is spiking in CPU use while idle, that could be malware, so yeah, reinstall Windows….
