      Hey guys!
I’m planning to build a rig. I edit videos (rendering etc) besides gaming. I need some guidance about the rig i’m planing to build.

      Processor: AMD Ryzen™ 5 3600X 3.8GHz (Turbo 4.4GHz) 6 Core 12 Threads 35MB Cache AM4
      Motherboard: Asrock B450M Pro4 Socket AM4, DDR4 3200MHz+ (OC), Quad CrossFireX, Ultra M.2
      Memory: Corsair DDR4 16GB(1x16GB) Vengeance 3000MHz Ram
      Video Card: Gigabyte RTX2070 Super Windforce 8GB 256Bit GDDR6
      HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5″ 7200RPM 256MB Cache Sata 3 Hard Disk
SSD: Adata XPG SX8200 Pro 512GB 3500MB/2350MBs NVMe PCIe M2 SSD
Case: Dark Guardian PRO 750W 80+ GOLD (It has it’s own 750W PSU)
Processor Cooler: Corsair Hydro H45 120mm

What do you think about this?

You may want to bump up the RAM speed for Ryzen (3600MHz is ideal AFAIK). I ended up buying “Viper Steel Series DDR4 16GB (2 x 8GB) 4000MHz” because they were fairly cheap (~£120).

Might want to go for a larger SSD if you’re going to store games.

To be honest, as someone who has used an AIO water cooler for ~4 years and recently switched back to air – I don’t think they’re worth the money nor the potential hassle. Get a decent Noctua air cooler and it will serve you many years longer for half the price.

I’d be hesitant to buy a no-name PSU. Get a Corsair, Seagate, or other well known brand for your PSU. You can get a case and PSU separately for ~£50 each if you go budget, but spend more on the case for quality of life things e.g. drive cages or decent fans.

      Looks quit good,but

if you do video Rendering etc. go for 32 GB RAM

and like Sheepzez said no need for liquid Cooling, better use that money for more RAM

      No-name PSU are risky……

and Case I have the Bequiet Silent Base 801 midi-tower,a bit expensive, but a real good infestment!-))

      Cheers Johan

      Thank you guys.

I guess you’re right about PSU and more memory

    • #41699

Not sure about more memory, it seems a pretty solid system.

I guess i need to buy 2×8 Memory that’s for sure. But if i go deep about editing and rendering(on Aftereffects) i might need more. But i can buy later if i feel like it

If you do video editing i would do a extra ssd in raid system

So i’ve just ordered my rig… I was about to give up on it because of money issues but i guess i had to take a risk because i will need that pc for my job.

      Anyway, here is what i’ve ordered guys;

      Processor: Ryzen 7 3700x 3.6 Ghz

Motherboard: Asus PRIME X570-P AM4 Socket, 4400 MHz

Memory: Corsair DDR4 16GB(2x8GB) Vengeance RGB PRO 3200MHz

      Video Card: Gigabyte RTX2070 Super Windforce 8GB 256Bit GDDR6

      HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 2.5″ 5400RPM

SSD: Adata XPG SX8200 Pro 512GB 3500MB/2350MBs NVMe PCIe M2

PSU: Seasonic FOCUS PLUS 750W 80+ Gold

      Monitor: AOC 27″ 27G2U/BK 1920×1080 1ms 144Hz Freesync

Case: Dark Guardian 4x12cm RGB Led Fan (This one is pretty good in Turkey)

What do you think about it?

I think you will rock m8 , PS: Asrock is a sistercompany of Asus. They are not bad. Wat was the difference (aside from money) with the Asus one?

    • #42003

      Asrock B450 M Pro was 760 Liras – about 100 euros

      Asus Prime X570 is 1500 liras – 200 euros

I checked some reviews about B450 and decided X570 will be much better with Ryzen 7 and 2070 windforce

B450 is supporting memory to 3200 Mhz but X570 is supporting t0 4400 Mhz. That means i can improve my memory later if i want to.  And X570 supports 128 Gb Ram

Better in terms of both cooling and reliable performance. This is not only better for reaching higher clock speeds but also for more peace of mind.

PCI-E 4.0 is basically the new revision of PCI-E which provides twice as much bandwidth compared to PCI-E 3.0. No other chipset supports this apart from X570 right now. I won’t use this spec for now but it’s future proof πŸ™‚
