Server map change causes the game to crash with the bug splat report error message.

    • #23704

Is this something that has to do with my computer or the server is having issues? This hasn’t happened to me when I play on other servers. I didn’t make changes to my operating system.

If it would be the server, everybody would get kicked , wich is not the case..

      My suggestion:

      • subscribe to all custom maps on this list
      • Update your graphic driver
      • try to disable your antivirus/firewall for a moment

I turned off the firewall, I subscribed to all of the server custom maps yesterday, I turned off my anti virus, I tried to update my video card drivers, but I couldn’t because now I ran out of hard drive space, I only have Counterstrike Global Offensive and Rising Storm 2 Vietnam installed on my computer, so I don’t know what is taking up a lot of my hard drive space.

Hm… for me, Rising Storm 2 takes up ~44GB of memory space which is not small but should fit on a modern hard drive.
Don’t know how big CS:GO is but i would estimate that its is around the same size or less.
So if these games take up much more space perhaps there is something wrong with them.

But the lack of hard drive space could be an explanation for the crash.
Changing a map and therefore refreshing much data in the main memory can lead to a roll out of data to the hard disk if the main memory is too small.
And if the hard drive is also full the game stops working.
Of course this is just an assumption without really knowing your system.
Still, having no hard drive space is normally not good for the performance.

The machine-gunners' dreams of point blank fire into serried masses of Emus were soon dissipated. The Emu command had evidently ordered guerrilla tactics, and its unwieldy army soon split up into innumerable small units that made use of the military equipment uneconomic. A crestfallen field force therefore withdrew from the combat area after about a month.

      Emus outlasted!

I finally cleaned up my hard drive space by uninstalling Unreal Engine, using the disk clean up, and the smart defragger and it worked. I tested out the server and found out that it no longer crashes during map change.

Use also this to discover what is eating space:
