Hello my fellow pbs admins.

Ive got banned on your servers now twice for a in my opinion very vague reason, this time a perma ban.

So the last ban was a while ago, maybe a month or two. 3 day ban. I was teamkilled by one of your members “proximo” after accidently blocking him in a trench pathway, hearing “MOVE!” in voip before being met by a friendly headshot. This frustrated me and i went for the revenge and teamkilled him back. This resulted in him saying in chat he will get me banned by going to an admin. I just ignored this and continued playing until he purposely teamkilled my again, then me him again.. then i was kicked, following a 3 day ban. Ive seen him on the servers since and there has been no issues.

So last night playing on one of your servers, the round had almost came to an end, clearly loosing, about 2-3 minutes left on the clock. I was playing arty and were at the HQ with another friendly arty player, I challenged him to a knife duel, and lost.. i keep my pride in that! I went back and then there were several friendly players there goofing around. So at the very end of the round, 20-30 seconds left, I teamkilled 2 of them for the fun of it, the one I lost the knife duel to and another guy. With the round being at its very end with just seconds left on the clock, I do not understand why ive been perma banned today. I wouldnt have teamkilled the guys during the match in a griefing matter, this was just me goofing around having some fun with other goofy players at friendly HQ at the very end of the round. I was actually doing pretty well that round, with around 50 kills and playing with a very effective squad.

In my opinion this doesnt justify a permaban but you guys are the executives and i guess an explanation is good enough. Thanks.

Hi Bud,
Thanx for taking the effort to appeal your ban. To be brief; Nothing justifies Teamkilling on purpose. If there are issues then this is reported to an Admin. Reading the logs only gives the impression of a player teamkilling on purpose. If it is just for fun or anger….there is no justification for making a teamkill. You were called out by a player who could not appreciate this at all…..so keep that in mind. For this player it spoiled his fun severe. I will not edit the ban for now because we will not accept any further persistent misconduct (no matter what intentions) in future. I will discuss this matter further with my fellow Admins though and will get back to you.
Reading the following in your records was the reason for me as Admin to pull the plug.

Reading your response confirms that the ban was directed towards the 3 teamkills at the very end of the match. joe8542 was the guy I had a knife duel with, and the other guys were watching our stand off.

I find it interesting that a player has had his “fun spoiled severely” when he gets teamkilled, once, at the very last few seconds in the round, in the HQ, watching 2 other friendly players do a knife duel. I cannot count the times Ive been rocketed, knifed, shot and what so ever the last few seconds in the match, but I do not run and reports these players to the closest admin as it clearly is not really griefing when the match ends in seconds. If I recall correctly me myself got teamkilled by one of these players a minute or two before, not sure on the name but I did get teamkilled in the HQ in one of the lives prior to my teamkills, also with maybe a minute or 2 left on the clock. As I said, we were goofing around,  the match was a clear defeat..

 

In the end the choice is on your table, I found your servers very good and have a good few guys I recognize and squad up with during matches so I find it unfortunate that this will lead to a permaban. Thats just my opinion. Have a nice day and thanks for your time.

Goodday Mr. Linus,

Eventhough the game was going to end and we’ve lost it still doesn’t mean you have to start teamkilling people.. A teamkill can happen and usually people say sorry but you clearly did it on purpose. i wasn’t watching your standoff/knife duel at all, i just spawned in after i got bombarded for the 100th time and i got TK’d directly by you. For me this was literally the straw that broke the camels back.

That match was already a “trash” match as we got steamrolled and you teamkilling me resulted in me reporting you towards an admin (Real01)

In general i really dislike teamkilling and it’s just not done especially if it’s on purpose. If the person says sorry i’m good with that but you didn’t say anything at all.. I’m not a trouble maker whatsoever i just like to keep our servers clean, if i see something i report it, if people complain i report it, i’ve TK’d before (by accident) and i apologize everytime.

We have great servers and we want to keep it like that, no teamkilling/no toxic players/no cheaters/…

In the end it’s up to our admins what they’ll do with your ban, i have no issue with you playing on our servers at all. It’s nice to see people that enjoy them so we’d like to keep it that way so people return to our servers.
