      Sure sign me up mate.

Just one question: how long will we train? Is there a specific amount of hours or can we leave whenever we feel like it?

DEBRIEFING: Wat did you think about it?

It was a good start but I think we might need to face each other in the next training to get it really competitive. Just split up in to  two sides?

    • #19040

Was really good. I didn’t thought that separated discord channels was a good idea, but I found it was.
I still miss the overlay, so I can really recognize voices, but it was good enough. If someone manages to make discord overlay work, please let everyone know.

The main issue was that after the “swapping sides” everyone was scrambled. I think Frank have a solution for that, if I got it correctly.

Yeah, it was a great training – of course there are lot’s of things we can focus on or change.

However we are training for a war – that’s why we need to be on the same team.

    • #19043

The first objective of this training was to setup the communication between us and devide in squads and commander.

I think we more or less succeeded in this.

We could start fighting each other but i rather have you all fight the enemy (public)  and practice this.

      Please continue the feedback

I agree with Frank, it is better to stay together and play against the other people in the server (who proved to be quiete good, however)

So here’s my feedback on the first training:

In general, the session was successful. Organisation was really improved, and really made a difference in combat. I’m sure the commander felt more in control of the situation, being able to direct 4 squads. So no remarks on the training session itself, but there are a few things I’d like to see in future training sessions:

      • A pre-mission briefing

Perhaps some information before the battle would improve battle efficiency even further. Something like a general strategy, or some quick orders so everyone can immediately jump into action. This briefing could also help organising the squads faster

      • Individual squad tactics

So far this training has improved the effectiveness of the squad within the platoon, but it hasn’t really improved the effectiveness of the soldier within the squad. Tactics revolved about moving squads over the battlefield, but there hasn’t been any real training on tactics within a squad. The commander can’t give more precise orders than “Attack A point” or “Flank from the left”. So squad commanders should determine how to achieve this and give more precise orders like “2 men provide covering fire while the rest flanks from behind the bush”. This would give squad commanders a more active role than just being spawn points and spotters, and the result of this will be a squad that’s much more adaptable and better at responding to changing situations. Cooperation will be better and soldiers will truly be able to rely on the men left and right of him, increasing the effectiveness of the squad even more.

      • Training matches against other organised teams

Always fighting against unorganised teams made up of random players might cause the PBS team to be too overpowered. Training matches against other teams ir clans could provide a more competitive game which is much more educational.

That’s it for now, I’ll try to be present in future training matches and in the war, and we’ll see how our clan evolves.

      Good points, but for:

      A pre-mission briefing

Yes thats possible, even with a viewable tactical map layout..but it would have cost allot of time

      Individual squad tactics

      Sure

Training matches against other organised teams

This is just clanwars or funwars…and a loss or win will be seen like it.

The purpoce of this training is first of all to have us work together like we did 🙂
