Hi everyone,

I just wanted to ask everyone’s thoughts and opinions on the two games.

Which you prefer and why? Things you wish RS2 had from RO2? What you dont like?

For me personally I prefer RO2. I like that servers are populated with bots (even if the AI are dumb as hell). I like that you gain slight upgrades for weapons and that you can view stats for each weapon.

Don’t get me wrong though. I am loving RS2. There are definitely not enough Vietnam shooters about.

What do you think?

Well i think RS2 has the better engine and is allot more optimised then RO2

Ofcourse R02 had tanks and is loved by the community.

 

As for the bots , why have them when you have a good server with people ? 🙂

I played that game for 1h, then delete.

Plus all the WW2 games are full of idiots fanboys, like “uh Russia so good, btr de germa nazi” or “nazi so good, u r sheet”

So RS2 is better ’cause ‘murica.

I much preferred RO2. The weapons, the setting, the maps.

 

Hopefully TWI will fulfil their promise of porting RO2 content into RS2 so it will live again!

They prob will but i think vietnam is a great setting to be hounest , just the addition of weapons is great

I prefer rs2 myself,  but I sunk a loooot of hours into RO2. I really liked the balance of automatic/non automatic weapons and the combined arms warfare. However, I hated the weapon upgrade system, because it took forever with some weapons to get the required kill points (looking at you pzbr and the handguns). I think rs2 excels at the pacing though. It really feels like a war offensive, of which you are a part of. In addition I think the asymetric combat makes this game so interesting and different to others.

One of the main things I’ve thought about regarding RS2 is the suppression, or lack thereof. In my opinion RO2 had a better system for suppressing the enemy, I just don’t feel that the LMG’s in RS2 is allowed their true role whereas a well placed MG42 opened up for infantry offensives.

Bought ro2 out of curiousity. But it looks a bit outdated and my personal favorite environments are vietnam and jungle. So yes i like rs2 more  then ro2. But i can imagen ro2 players like to stick to a game they know.

I really like Red Orchestra for fast gun upgrades and optimization. also for some vechicles even if they are useful)) but color specter a very bright in RS2. Jungle looks beautiful but also a little bit cartoony)) all these brightly colored hud u know. I dnt like it!
