All i know is that i would never buy a Full HD screen above 24” . 30inch (wide) is getting pretty close to 4K resolution IMO. In that Price range you might get lucky and score a 1440p (QHD) 27” screen with decent refresh rate and fast response time.

if you want a big screen (27”) you will need @least 2k (2590×1440) resolution.

and in that case you need to make sure that your pc can handle the resolution at a decent refresh rate.

good mesure is when your pc does +100fps on full hd (1920×1080) or 1080P it will probably do 60-70 fps on 1440P

if your pc cant manage a +100fps on 1080P then i would not bother buying a bigger than 24inch screen.
