Coming to the live servers earlier than expected, Battlefield 1’s June Update rolls out tomorrow, June 20th, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

You can expect some gameplay changes within the June Update as well as the first night-only map, Nivelle Nights, and the Frontlines game mode accessible on Argonne Forest and Amiens. DICE has yet to release the official patch notes, but they should be available once the update is available for download.

You can access Battlefield 1’s June Update following the schedule maintenance times.

  • PC: Multiplayer will be offline for two hours starting 12:00 AM PT.
  • PS4: Multiplayer will be offline for two hours starting 2:00 AM PT.
  • Xbox One: Multiplayer will be offline for two hours starting 4:00 AM PT.

Earlier this month, DICE released a small update on the Community Test Environment featuring small changes to Conquest, matchmaking, and general combat. Most notably however, vehicles should now have all parts functioning after you repair your transport to full health. Basically, if your tank’s track was disabled prior to repairing, it should become functional once more after you repair your vehicle to full health — the same should apply for any other disabled vehicle functionality.

Also within Battlefield 1’s June Update is the long-awaited Nivelle Nights map. This new map is free for Premium Pass owners, as well as players that have purchased They Shall Not Pass as a standalone DLC. Unfortunately, the only way for standard players to access the new map is to wait for Premium Friends to activate, or to buy the Premium Pass or DLC.

There’s a second Premium map, Prise de Tahure, that is slated for release in July that’s expected to be part of a night-only Operation for Battlefield 1.

What’s more, the Frontlines game mode is bridging into two original maps, Argonne Forest and Amiens, with the June Update. There’s no official word whether the previously DLC-exclusive game mode is being worked on for the rest of the original maps. That said, DICE may push Frontlines onto the rest of the maps to reduce the segmentation of the playerbase.

Looking ahead, the second expansion for BF1 was pushed back from the previous July or August target date to September. Of course, In the Name of the Tsar brings in new weapons, maps, and vehicles, but also marks the release of another new game mode called Supply Drop.

Battlefield 1’s June Update releases on June 20 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC
