Private Lobbies are a great way for players to test out new loadouts, attachments, skins, and equipment, without the stress of fighting other players. However, several Dev Errors (292, 11642, 401) have been appearing that makes it impossible to enter a Private Lobby. This bug has been affecting players on all platforms.
Change Custom Frame Rate Limit from Custom to Unlimited
One way to fix this error is by heading to your Settings and changing your Custom Frame Rate Limit from Custom to Unlimited. This can be found in the Graphics tab, under Display settings.
Set Spot Cache to Small or Medium
Another way to fix this error is to head into your Settings and set your Spot Cache size to either Small or Medium. This can also be found in the Graphics tab, under Shadow & Lighting settings.
Briefly Enter a Public Multiplayer Game
You can also enter a Public Multiplayer game to fix this error. Make sure you’ve already spawned in before exiting, then you should be able to start a Private Lobby.
