Battlefield 1 Mythbusting – New gameplay from the Scar Map. Testing a few of the new mechanics and quirks of the game
Some facts:
There will be no commander mode in BF1. There is a possibilty however, that squad leaders will be able to activate certain artillery/canons if they’ve gained a certain number of points.
Mortars will be in the game (mechanics not yet confirmed).
There will be a ‘War Bonds’ unlock which will act as a form of currency. Perhaps to unlock skins.
You will be able to change skins on the Behemoth, armored trains and horses (between black/white/brown for example). Horses will be in MP.
If two people Bayonet charge at each other, the second one who activates wins.
Front take downs (animated) are only possible if the enemy will die from your hit (so if health is below 80).
Parachutes cant be opened when jumping from high buildings (3 storey tested). It seems theyre only available from air craft.
The syringe, like defibs, can still kill enemies.
You can charge through a door by sprinting and pressing the action button.
You no longer glitch out when riding a friendly vehicle without being inside of it (eg when standing on a friendly tank in motion) or when two vehicles are right next to each other.
Trip mines do 99 damage.
Every class possesses a gas mask by default but it obscures your vision, defeans sound and you can’t aim down sights when its on.
Soldiers can catch on fire by walking through an incendiary grenade and it will take some time for it to stop.
The Behemoths will differ per map. Some will get the armored train, zepplin or dreadnought .
