      I was thinking of trying HLL on a Xbox Series X and see how that works. How does that work with PBS and a non-Steam installation?

      From what I have heard its a rough experience in general.

      No lobby viewing, and very little teamwork/mic gameplay. I honestly doubt the game will last long on consoles sadly. Especially because its not crossplatform with PC.

      To answer your question, I doubt you will be able to play on the PBS servers on xbox/ps5.

      There’s no cross platform play between PC and consoles. I believe xbox/playstation can play together but the PC is completely separate.

      I just wanted to add, i’ve played 3 or 4 rounds on the PS5 and found the performance was alright but I generally suck with controllers so from a gameplay point of view it was very very difficult. If you’re used to using a controller I think you’ll be fine though.

      I was lucky enough to play in a full squad of mic’d up players from my wife’s MMORPG guild who were interested in trying it out and had a lot of fun, so it’s going to be dependent on finding a communicative group.

      PBS doesnt have untill now many console players and I believe they dont have a server browser only matchmaking.
      I am sure it will get more improvement over time.

      I dont think console will be fading away and i think it will give team17 the needed funds to give more content to the game.

      For now PC is the safest bet.
