I know that the message was meant as something positive, but it is inconceivable as to why this would need to be posted on the forum or in our talk. This was directed a few people within the clan and after having discussions with Frank, prior to this being posted, I can appreciate the request and understand why the senior members of the clan want it to appear that Rising Storm 2 is busier than it is.

I have been receptive to these requests even though I do not agree with the execution behind them. Now that a formal request is made, I think it is important to point out that we are setting up unrealistic expectations for those new recruits and existing members that want to play the game and that is not the most productive way to promote our community.

People want to play the game with their friends, and when their friends are not playing the game in question then they should be in another channel. To speak plainly I am disappointed there is a suggestion of a small group of players are attempting to form a clique and divide the player base. This is not remotely accurate and any suggestion of this should have been addressed directly with the people in question and not posted on here. In my opinion I think there are more pressing issues to the size of our player base than the channel that people are utilising in Discord when they are idling or just chatting.

Given the endorsement of this post, the message seems to suggest that if you are an RS2 player you either join RS2 Channels or do not join Discord and that is not a message I can support.
