Wanted to share something that I started experimenting with a while ago that I now use religiously, especially for taking down garrisons. I’m sure many of you do it anyway but maybe some of you will find this helpful..
The range of throwing a grenade whilst standing is approx. 40m. If ever you see a garrison, put a ping on it to give you a distance marker (also call it out to your squad). Position yourself to approx. 40m away and then chuck the grenade. It can require a slightly different approach if the garrison is on a hill (as the grenade will roll) but it’s still very useful.
Of course you can use the pinging technique for sizing up distances for other things too. I had seen a info sheet on grenade distances and how they vary when running, crouching, prone but can’t find it. Has anyone got any info on it?

Nice tip mate thanks, I heard you can throw german grenades further then the American one? Is this true or is it a universal 40m for both?

Not sure mate, I haven’t noticed a material difference, probably cause the margins aren’t too fine and that using 40m gives enough allowance for any difference. When the new update drops I’ll try and get some testing done. I think it all depends on position, running speed, arc of throw, surface the grenade lands on.. best advice is to find that natural ‘feel’ for yourselves and I think 40m is a great distance to start working with to get that feel

Thanks for the tip mate! We’ll have to try

So I found the info sheet for grenades, it gives you some rough guidance on throwing distances and damage radius. I still think approx. 40m is a good distance to work from and to adapt it accordingly based on the conditions. Experiment and see how you go. I think the thing that has helped me most is using the ping marker to size up my throws
