Here’s my keybindings…
Movement:
- wasd > movement
- q, e > lean
- shift > run (hold)
- ΓΒ§ > auto run
- lower thumb mouse button > crouch (toggle) | swim down
- upper thumb mouse button > jump | swim up
- left ctrl > slow walk (hold)
Weapons & Combat:
- left mouse button > fire weapon / throw grenade/smoke/molotov/stun
- right mouse button > aim
- mouse wheel up > primary weapon
- mouse wheel down > secondary weapon
- 1-5 different weapon slots
- g > grenade (if available)
- r > reload
Misc:
- left arrow key > bandage
- right arrow key > boost
- up arrow key > med kit (100%)
- down arrow key > first aid kit (75%)
- f > interact
I think that about covers my keybindings. Not sure if I’ve missed any.

Kelvin do you actually use the arrow keys for movement? I used to do that years ago before I realized wasd was a thing – talking years ago though. Are you left handed?

ah ok. looks like you were referencing the arrow keys. My arrow keys also say wasd on them for some reason & my wasd keys also have arrows printed on them. Certain letters have underscore lighting on them too – weird keyboard.
I found the default pubg keybinding layout too much hassle for me. I like to make it so I don’t have too many keybindings on the keyboard as I have clumsy fingers when not looking at the keyboard & often end up pressing the wrong key by accident; hence the reason I can’t play games with lots of keybindings like the Arma series.
Maybe you could use this thread to get people to post their own key bindings, as I think that would be more interesting?

You don’t bother with leaning? I try using it for peaking, but nearly every time I peak someone tries to take my head off. π
Just in case you don’t know. They added some new options when they introduced first person mode. In the gameplay options menu you can now set certain systems/mechanics to hold or toggle, such as crouch, sprint, slow walk, hold breath, etc. I tried most of them including auto-run, but you have to start messing about tapping the buttons to get them to stop doing what they are doing & you end up messing up while panicking if someone starts shooting at you. Only one I have on toggle is crouch as it’s something I have on in pretty much any game that allows it as I’m too lazy to hold the key/button.
I liked the spring toggle as it’s better than auto-run because you can actually press the a,d keys to side-step left & right while running & you can change between crouch & standing up & your character will continue to run. The only downside is what I mentioned earlier; you have to manually force them to stop running with whatever your sprint key binding is & may end up messing up & start hitting the wrong keys by accident when someone starts taking pot shots at you. I ended up having to disable it because of that.
