Again some great new maps have been added to the POWERBITS GAMETEAM MIXED server:

- Historical background:   DeweyCanyon Was the last major offensive by the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. It took place from January 22 through March 18, 1969 and involved a sweep of the People’s Army of Vietnam (PAVN)-dominated A Shau and Song Äa Krông Valleys by the 9th Marine Regiment. Based on intelligence and captured documents, the NVA unit in contact was believed to be the 9th NVA RegimentThe 56 days of combat were a tactical success but did not stop the overall flow of North Vietnamese men and matériel into South Vietnam. The 9th Marine Regiment and attached units were awarded the Army Presidential Unit Citation for their actions in Operation Dewey Canyon.

Hello everyone.Â
Just recently I just thought I’d need to reflect a different side of a weather in Vietnam and because of it I decided to go with an Operation Dewey Canyon II being part of Operation Lam Son 719 with a US convoys trying to sneak up in between overcast weather including a fight between U.S 101st Airborne Division and inconsistent VC troops, dominating the high ground on the map, while US troops will have to move along the road.
It tells us a story of a convoy delivering troops and supplies , which would let to reopen Route 9 all the way to the old Khe Sanh Combat Base which had been abandoned by U.S. forces in 1968. The base would be reopened and would then serve as the logistical hub and airhead of the ARVN incursion.ÂI decided not to got with full historical accurace here, but instead deliver full blown rainy weather.

I hope that in case of M35 custom/official vehicles being added, it will be featured on this map.Â
