Again some great new maps have been added to the POWERBITS GAMETEAM MIXED server:
Operation-Valkyrie
- Mode:Â Territory
- Historical background: The NVA have taken over a small village just north of the DMZ, making them supply food to their war effort. The USMC need to capture the village and cutt of these supplies.
- Developer notes:Â The first map in a trilogy, the USMC must storm the beach of northern Vietnam, after an already failed attempt, and push the NVA back into the mountains to cut off their supply route. Fight through jungle, trenches and villages to complete your mission.Â

- Historical background: The 1st Infantry Division troops are attacked in Binh Long Province (III Corps), 60 miles north of Saigon near the Cambodian border. Communist forces launched a mortar, rocket, and ground attack against Fire Support Base (FSB) Julie, eight miles west of An Loc. Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 2nd Infantry, manned the FSB. U.S. B-52s conducted 22 strikes over the area in an effort to disperse a reported massing of North Vietnamese forces. The defenders were successful in fending off the Communist attack but eight soldiers were killed and 33 were wounded.
- Developer notes:Â The aim of the map is to try and capture the wide open areas of the operation mixed with the somewhat sporadic clusters of tree lines that US forces encountered during their sweeps looking for Viet Cong.
At the moment the map is in very early Alpha and areas of it are subject to change as performance and gameplay still need to be tweaked. If you have any feedback you would like to share about the map please feel free to post below as I would love to hear it.
