New Battlefield 1 DLC Details: In the Name of the Tsar, Turning Tides, Apocalypse
We now know the name of the upcoming Russian DLC is called “In the name of the Tsar†and the other two expansions are called “Turning Tides†and “Apocalypse.†Limited details are available, but for “In the Name of the Tsar†players will “enter the war’s biggest front with the Russian army and fight in snow-covered ravines and a freezing archipelago in 4 new maps.†A press release from DICE confirms the Russian expansion’s maps are based on the Brusilov Offensive, Operation Albion, and the battles in the Lupkow Pass. New legendary weapon weapon in BF1
DICE recently showcased the new game mode "Frontlines" coming in Battlefield 1's French DLC "They Shall Not Pass" in a recent video. The game mode meshes together both conquest and rush in a tug of war-style mode. Aside from showing off some of the new Rupture map, the video may have also included details on a new Legendary weapon coming to Battlefield 1. There are already two existing legendary weapons in Battlefield 1, the Bartek Bludgeon and the Sawtooth Knife. Battlefield 1's first downloadable content pack, "They Shall Not Pass" is just around the corner. The DLC expansion is based on the the cornerstone of Entente forces on the Western Front: The French Army. Battlefield 1 Winter Update is Here: Patch Changes and Additions
Battlefield 1’s Winter Update has finally arrived, and it brings a bevy of additions and changes, most of which are designed to add some more longevity to the game for dedicated players. Among the major additions in the Winter Update are ribbons, elite codec entries, increased class ranks, and new server tools. The Winter Update brought with it a number of gameplay changes – here are the most notable: DICE decreased the duration of gas from 22 seconds to 15 seconds. The winter update for Battlefield 1 will be released tomorrow
While the notice didn’t include information on what was contained in it, due to being a tweet and all, it’s expected the update will contain content currently available on the Battlefield 1 Community Test Environment. DICE confirmed back in January  it was working on a new update for February. It’s said the update won’t include new content, just changes and improvements. Invites to the Battlefield 1 CTE went out at the end of January, providing testers with early access to forthcoming balance changes, fixes, new features, etc. before being released to the general public.
