In U10 nodes will suffer some changes (check PTE for more info, NDA) but they will still be destroyed on capture.
Currently the meta is that you’re better off and it’s lower risk just to put the nodes in the +5 area.
The changes are said to prevent the steamrolling of opponents but as long as defending the last point w/o any income stream I don’t see how one can ever successfully have a comeback.
What are some proposals out there to address this issue?

I like the idea of having nodes generate resources based on their distance to the frontline. So if an attacking team pushes on and caps the 4th point, their nodes in the 2nd and 3rd line are near worthless for example. Maybe also give a certain amount of passive income to the team that’s on their last point?

Yes some sort of passive income or some mechanism that can be deployed by infantry only when you’re defending the last point.
Would be great if the PTE servers were always up and these types of changes could be tested by the community,
