Since a lot of people are unconvinced about the medic role, I figured I should share some of my own insights.

I mainly see the medic as an offensive role. You start with a rifle, which ensures you can keep your distance. Then if your OP and officer go down, you can revive your officer so a new OP can be placed.

It’s a risky role, but I think the weapon loadout is pretty decent so it’s a choice between a rifleman with extra explosive ammo or a medic who has a healing kit and a syringe.

Offensively a great role if you don’t hunt for tanks.

It will be nice to see optimization for Stalingrad. The map is very fun to play when there are no issues, and it’s full of interesting areas.

I personally really like the rifleman because it’s a versatile role in terms of who you want to support. In the games where I’ve played with good teams, it’s usually the assault that moves first and covering them as rifleman always feels very satisfying.

I dislike playing SL because I am not very good at communicating and I don’t know what’s important yet.

That being said, I still haven’t tried the spotter/sniper roles but I’m pretty interested in them. It’s difficult to find a spot, though. And obviously it’s best to play with a spotter or sniper that you trust.
