Hi there

It’s the moron using the hll-talk channel. I was hoping to find some info about my ban which was issued around 7pm earlier today. Not super happy with my behaviour and I’ll be an adult and own up to carrying the arguement over in chat, but when someone’s spamming +russia in voice chat when I’ve seen the millions of videos of what russia is doing in ukraine (and also has the name sovietlasagna) I’m not going to take it too well. Perhaps the average player might but I’ve seen horrific things done in the name of +russia so I got a bit upset.

 

Regardless, it’s been established you guys have no voice comms so next time he trys it i’ll report it and not argue in chat but any info regarding ban etc would be very useful.

Hi,

I was the one who issued your ban. It was because of the following behaviour (for example):

 

5:04 PM(Team) Bin Weasel: wp all and remember, fuck russia and fuck putin
5:04 PM(Team) Bin Weasel: fuck russia

 

As you said, and realised, that this behaviour is not acceptable.

 

In regards to the accusation of SovietLasagna, sadly, we cannot do anything without any solid proof. If this type of behaviour happens again, please be sure to record it (Nvidia Shadowplay is a great way of doing it) and send it to us.

 

In this case, I will reduce the ban length (which was permanent) to 7 days. Your account will be flagged and if this behaviour happens again, it will be permanent with no appeal.

You’ll have to forgive me, I’m not used to servers to strictly moderated so it’s a learning curve frankly.

Whilst I think a lot of people do share the sentiment above, I will do better not to state things such as that in chat in the future. Frank dropped me a line and asked me to move it to the forum so I did, again as I saw SovietLasagne had used that channel to report me I assumed I was good to discuss the ban and report there too. Given he’s a full PBS Member, it seemed fine but for future reference I wont use discord channels to discuss reports etc and will use this forum.

For my own understanding, how long will the flag last? Naturally I don’t want my account flagged forever; whilst it’s obviously up to you, if I exhibit clean behaviour for a period of X time can the account return to normal status?

There was a little misunderstanding with the Discord. HLL-Talk is for HLL discussion, neither reports or appeals. Soviet should have posted in our #cheater_misconduct (and I recommend you using this if you ever come across any hackers, rule breakers, teamkillers etc in game).

 

The flag, being blunt, will last as long as it lasts. If you do show “good behaviour” constantly, it will most likely be removed at some point – all dependent on behaviour.

No need to be blunt, I was pushing the envelope to ask that but I just wanted to understand your process. Aside from one other occasion where I once again rose up to someone being toxic and met them with the same behaviour they were exhibiting, I run solid squads on these servers and very much enjoy playing on PBS servers and did for many years on Rising Storm (cant remember if you lot had Red Orchestra servers but I imagine you did and I will have played there too). I’ll be respectful in the future and won’t repeat this issue that you can be sure of but only time will prove that statement true or false.

 

Thanks for your time, it’s cringe that you have to deal with childish shit like this and I own up to being partly responsible for wasting your time. As someone with 5k hours on CSGO, I’m forever traumatised whenever the word “Soviet” appears in someones name but will not let that bleed through into voice chat, in game chat or behaviour on PBS servers in the future.
