Stefan Kubiak was born in Poland, he was vacuumed into WW1 then taken to the French mercenaries troops in Viet Nam. He deserted and join Viet Minh troops to help Vietnamese in Dien Bien Phu campaign. Because of his talent and experiences in war, he was named as Toán ( calculating, arranging tragedy etc… ). He fought so well and played an important role in Dien Bien Phu campaign. As the result, he was adopted by uncle Hồ and got his surname.
