in 17 June 1968, an accident took place as 3 air vs air missiles AIM – 7 SPARROW launched from 2 US fighting aircrafts straight to the Aussie destroyer HMS Hobart of Royal Navy Australian in the Gulf of Tonkin ( North Viet Nam shore ). Two sailors Henry Hunt and Quartermaster Raymond Butterworth were killed, 7 wounded
And of course, they blamed it for the VCÂ ….
