RS2 History:Battle of Ia Drang
The Battle of Ia Drang comprised two main engagements conducted by the 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment that took place on November 14–15, 1965 at LZ X-Ray ("eastern foot of the Chu Pong massif) and by the 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment on November 17 at LZ Albany farther north in the Ia Drang Valley. It was the first major battle between the United States Army and the North Vietnamese Army-NVA(People's Army of Vietnam-PAVN) during the Vietnam War as part of the U.S. airmobile offensive code-named Operation Silver Bayonet I (October 23 – November 18, 1965). RS2 History:Battle of Hamburger Hill (Hill937)
The Battle of Hamburger Hill was a battle of the Vietnam War that was fought by the United States and South Vietnam against North Vietnamese forces from May 10–20, 1969 (main part of Operation Apache Snow). Although the heavily fortified Hill 937 was of little strategic value, U.S. command ordered its capture by a frontal assault, only to abandon it soon thereafter. The action caused a controversy both in the American military and public. The battle was primarily an infantry engagement, with the U.S. Airborne troops moving up the steeply-sloped hill against well entrenched troops. RS2 New Map: Highway 14
Again some great new maps have been added to the POWERBITS GAMETEAM MIXED server: Highway 14 Mode: Supremacy Historical background:  National Highway 14 is a road connecting Ban Me Thuot, Pleiku, Kontum and Thua Thien, in central Vietnam. The area of its intersection with National Highway 19 was a key strategic objective during the Vietnam War; gaining control of this area could split South Vietnam in half.It meets National Highway 1 at Bien Hoa and Highway 7 at Ban Me Thuot.
