https://theline.gg/tankbible/#2.10 this is a really in depth tank guide if u´r interested. Otherwise tanking is a lot about information and positioning as well as knowing some of the weak spots. When u know where enemy tanks are u can easily position urself somewhere where its hard for them to see you, means whenever u shot a few shots and killed something it´s smart to change positions. When u get good pings and know what you can shoot through u can even kill tanks behid hedges that u don´t see urself, or in some cases the spotter/commander can leave the tank to ping a target that´s not directly in line of sight.

There´s a ton you can do in tanks, a lot to learn and a lot of different play styles as well. You decide what´s your main target and how u wanna engage it. Also always keep an eye on the map. Which outposts/garrisons are hot? Where are people dying? And where are they looking? All this can give u info about enemy positions and helps your decision making.

In the end u just need to play and gain experience. After a while u get a pretty good feeling for timing and movements or gamesense how would call it in other games.
