My favourite piece of equipment is really obscure, I was blown away by the inflatable vehicles and tanks assembled on the British coastline…..not an obvious piece of killing machinery, more a cerebral sideswipe at the enemy, the mind games played by Churchill and his team were essential to the outcome of the war….not really as directly as the Bazooka for example or the Tiger tanks but just as effective in the long run. Personally the innovation in equipment was mind blowing but the minds behind them far more interesting.
