Many years ago I used to be part of a WWII reeneactment group and they would regularly go to Normandy for the anniversary. I never went and always regretted that. In fact a couple of us who caught up recently after some time are planning a trip once things clear up to head over and visit all the places, etc.

They were there for the 60th anniversary and I’ve always regretted not going to that!  Still a fair number of veterans around at that point, including a few from the division we portrayed (29th Infantry Division).

Definitely on my bucket list!
