Yeah, good communication is still something we have to work at…
I might get offensive with this next bit, yet I think this needs to be said, since I feel some people might agree with me, but don’t want to get on anyone’s bad side so they keep it to themselves.
I don’t mind the RS2 General chat to be on voice detect, it’s meant for some casual gaming.
But we can’t call a channel ”tactical” where there are 10+ people in it with voice detection, because:
- There are always a few guys that constantly transmit static, push to talk would limit that static transmission.
- Sooner than later one or two guys go AFK (possibly a squad leader) and you start hearing them/their family members in the background – please switch to spectator and mute yourself if you are not playing!
- Then 3 guys are munching on the loudest possible snack they can find (I mean, it’s cool, I’m glad that you are not starving, but keep it to yourself, please?)
- Another guy decides it’s time to sing a song way off key…
I could go on but the point is, it all amounts to the kinda noise that personally just can’t take it anymore and I leave/mute discord.
I would really like to put forward the idea that I think Kove recommended, to make a ”training” day at a specific day and time every week, for all of us that really want to play ”tactical”.
Please, let me know your toughts on this guys! 🙂
