According to player stats data from EA servers, Battlefield 4 is more popular than the more recent Star Wars Battlefront. And it’s way more popular than Battlefield Hardline — there are five times as many active players on Battlefield 4 than on Hardline.
Despite the fact that Battlefront was released just 6 months ago, it has far fewer players than BF4. And Battlefront is still actively supported with new DLC coming next month.
And it looks much worse for Hardline, which was released almost 18 months later than BF4, and yet barely manages to get 25,000 active users, according to data.
Data tracked by official EA multiplayer servers and analyzed by BF4Central shows that BF4 has some 125,000 active players on average over 24 hours, while Battlefront has just 80,000.
We’ve complied a simple graph that shows the popularity of the most recent Battlefield games and Star Wars Battlefront:
Battlefront was a huge seller for EA, selling over 13 million units to date. But as the data shows, most players have abandoned it. One of the biggest criticisms of the game was the lack of true multiplayer content.
By comparison, Battlefield 4 has been supported well by EA and DICE LA, with new content and patches. And even though that seems to have come to an end, the player base is still very active.
EA has confirmed that Battlefield 5 will be released later this year.

Wonder how that diagram will change when the next battlefield game comes out.
Prob a big decline for BF4
