One hero in a very long list of them!  That is ridiculously tall for the 1940’s though!

In my days of re-enacting the 29th Infantry Division, getting original 38″ chest shirts, Class A jackets, etc was a doddle as there were tons due to the population in general being shorter and of slighter build back then, but getting them to fit me at 5″ 11 and needing a 40-42″ cos of my shoulders/arms (more average nowadays) I found very tough as they were much rarer and often had to go for reproduction stuff. What size he would have needed at that height, who knows although the arms do look a little short on him.
