No more night maps coming to Battlefield 4

Golmud Railway and Siege of Shanghai night won’t be released.

Last year, DICE released Zavod Graveyard Shift, a night map based on the popular Zavod 311 map. And they were working and testing two more night maps: Golmud Railway and Siege of Shanghai.

Those maps will never see the light of day. DICE confirmed that there are no plans to bring those maps to players. The maps were tested alongside Zavod Graveyard Shift for a while in the Community Test Environment. But as we reported last week, the Battlefield 4 CTE has ended. Despite closing of the Community Test Environment, EA still says that they will continue to support BF4 in the future. How long in the future remains to be seen. Officially, the developers at DICE LA are still working on Battlefield 4 and have not moved on to other projects.

It’s a shame we never got to play the other night maps, because they looked quite stunning
