So, my graphic settings look like this:

I went well with those questions but like one or two months ago I noticed something I am curious about.
It regards the Anti-Aliasing in this game. As you can see, I use Clarity-TAA, because it gave me a crisp picture. Sure, it doesnt look perfect bcs you still can see that grass or leaves look more like a saw but I don’t really care, since it is crisp and doesnt really cost FPS.
But back then I started noticing something weird:
When I start up the game and join a server, all those graphics look kinda blurry and washed out. See this screenshot for example:
Especially the face or trees in the distance look a bit blurry, as if I smeared something on my glasses.
But when I go into my video settings and only hit “apply” without changing anything, it looks like always. Take this screenshot as a comparison:

I hope you can see, what I am talking about.
My question now is, if anybody else notices this problem, or if someone can explain why this is happening. Is AA not being active in the first screenshot? Doesnt look like it, but it sure as hell doesnt look like Clarity TAA, if I am not mistaken.
Testwise I deactivated my AA completely and truth be told it kinda looked like the second screenshot – crisp, but diagonal lines had this stairs-effect… I just don’t know what causes this problem, so if anybody can explain or tell me how I can get rid of this problem that I always have to hit “apply video settings” when I start the game…

For better comparison with those screenshots, please enlarge them (right click – copy graphic adress (or something) and open that in a different tab)

This has been an very known issue. I had this too, it was either too sharp or too blurry.
This is how I fixed it.
Go to: This PC > Local Drive (C) > Users > Yourusername > AppData > Local > HLL > Saved > Config > WindowsNoEditor
Now there, open up the file ”engine” or ”engine.ini”
Now copy and paste this into there.
[SystemSettings]
r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing=2
r.TemporalAACurrentFrameWeight=0.2
r.TemporalAASamples=64
r.TemporalAASharpness=1
r.Tonemapper.Sharpen=1Now simply exit and save the file. Open up the game and test it out. Do not open the graphics options ingame and click on apply, because this will simply override this whole process.

Thanks for the tip Jack., it made my day. It was real annoying to have to “apply video settings” every time I started the game.
