      What is KARDS?

KARDS is a World War II card game. You can choose a deck from 28 cards of any fighting nation, such as Britain, Germany, USA, Soviet Union and Japan, but also France and Italy. Then add an ally from which you can add another 12 cards to your deck. That ally can be anyone you’d like, despite if they were allies in WWII or not.

All cards have attack power, defense power and some of them have special abilities, such as ‘deal 3 damage to a random enemy infantry unit’. Units can be infantry, tanks, artillery or airplanes. There are also command cards, which give a special command to the game, for example: ‘all units in the frontline must retreat’.

The card are put on the table in the support line. There you can also find you HQ-card. It has a default of 20 defense. Only one player can be in the frontline, which is the space between your support line and that of the enemy.

The player whos HQ is destroyed first, loses the game.

      Is it any good?

KARDS is a easy to learn game. After playing the tutorial (5 small games) you can start building your own deck (28 cards of your chosen nation + 12 cards of your ally).

Because every game you play, the deck is shuffeled (obviously), you don’t know which card you draw. Every opponent’s got a different deck themselves. So every game is different and not predictable.

Personally I got a bit off that it’s not always accurate in a history view. On the other hand, this game is quite layback. There is some cool early 20th century music playing in the background and the animations in the game are cool to spice things up a bit (explosions, shooting, airplane sounds, etc.).
