Just voted.

Voted for

  • An Cuu Bridge – The best city map (Ok, perhaps the only city map in the vote^^). If I am fed up with all the jungle maps, I am really happy if this map is voted
  • Charlie Don’t Surf; Air Assault; Resort – Either you have good pilots or you will hate to play those maps. But if you have them, it is this fine feeling of supreme air cavalry that makes these maps special (PS.: I am currently a horrible pilot^^)
  • Perimeter – Just like Charlie Don’t Surf a smaller map and therefore shorter playtime which is nice after matches that took way to long. Further, I like the getting, place bomb, getting out of this map
  • Ripcord – At the first two points it is always hard to gues where the frontline is, but after that it is a nice hard fight for every sandbag in this fortress.

Didn’t Vote for

  • Lolo, Mau – Just played them the first time a few days ago. Were they always in map rotation? Anyway, playing a map only one time makes it hard to like or dislike the map. So, currently no vote, even so they looked nice at the first time.
  • Wake Island – With less tickets and more spawn points it is nicer than its first release, still it is a total brawl without strategy and tactics.
  • Jungle Swamp – I hate to tell everyone where the capzone of A is. If just somebody could just fix this issue.
  • Firebase Georgina, Jungle Raid, Operation Valkyrie – The maps are nice but since this is a vote for the best custom map I didn’t want to vote for too many maps. So, no vote but still good maps.
The machine-gunners' dreams of point blank fire into serried masses of Emus were soon dissipated. The Emu command had evidently ordered guerrilla tactics, and its unwieldy army soon split up into innumerable small units that made use of the military equipment uneconomic. A crestfallen field force therefore withdrew from the combat area after about a month.

- D.L. Serventy, ornithologist on the Emu War from 11–12.1932 between Royal Australian Artillery and 20,000 emus

Emus outlasted!
