I have been less active for the last few weeks because like some of you I too don’t take ”crowded” discord well and so when I see alot of people in RS2 general chat my first toughts are, do I really want to join in? 😀
If we use proper communication methods it won’t be confusing. No matter how many people are online.
1. We keep using the squad dividing on discord like we had been doing, and commander can be reached by the ingame ”team voice chat”
2. We could try the ”radio operator ID” methode. So basically you say who you are and who the message is for, and only after the ID you proceed with the message.
Example: Korobac to commander, (use the term ”commander” because people tend to mix squad leader with team leader), SL3 mark is good, multiple enemies have been spotted around that mark, any support would be appreciated.
3. If you yell: ”Frank grenade!” Our glorious leader will know to get the hell out of dodge. Opposed to: ”watch out, grenade” because at this point Frank thinks to himself, was he talking to me or *BOOM*
4. Lot of people still believe that left and right are better opposed to the cardinal directions/compass. And I just don’t see why is it so hard to look at either your HUD or even the map to give your team more precise description of the location.
And on the side note, I’m gonna be a douchebag again, but here goes… you can’t complain about other people and their various background noises, while you are also part of that problem, with your different yet equally annoying background noises. So everyone should do their best to make their broadcasting as tolerable to other players as possible.
