It’s story time again folks…

So, during the losing streak me & Eitan had the other night (I blame the supply crate drops. I will henceforth associate any supply crate drops that drop near or right above us as bad omens), we ended up in what I guess you could call a Mexican Standoff.

There was one guy behind a tree & then there was me & Eitan behind our own trees & none of us were moving, just leaning out & taking random potshots. I actually ended up getting network lag & took me around 2 minutes or so to get back into the game which ended up coming at a shit time as the circle was closing in. I reconnected just as the guy started leaving his tree cover & knocked down Eitan (perfect timing to get back in the game really & really surprised they’d both been standing in same position all that time & that I wasn’t dead), so I side stepped out to the right hand side of the tree I was behind & killed the guy with a single shot from my revolver – somehow.

Anyway… if either of us had better weapons & more ammo (all I had was a revolver with less than 10 bullets & a shotgun) I think I would have deployed a suppression tactic by shooting at & near the tree to keep the enemy busy while Eitan flanked him/her. For some reason we never seem to bother with suppressive fire while playing PUBG as it’s a great method for distracting enemies & preventing them from popping out their heads to look around – works in Battlefield, etc though I suppose it’s a bit harder to pull off when playing on third person PUBG servers as people can use the free look camera system to scan around them, but one of your squad mates could potentially fall back far enough to get out of range to make their way slowly around.

I think we must have been behind those trees for at least 5 minutes or so. Also pretty sure that was the same match we got this…

Then died from the bloody blue circle 2 minutes later. Was a nice supply drop too. 🙁
