      Hi guys!

I was having trouble with the cpu when I was streaming and playing BF1.

The usage constantly was swinging between 98%-100%

So after some research and testing this worked for ME.
      STEP 1 :
      Create a config file

How to create a configuration file for Battlefield 1

      1. First you have to open your Windows text editor called Notepad.
      2. Now we type all our favorite console commands line by line into the file.
The one you need now is gametime.maxvariablefps 75 The number is the refresh rate of my screen (70Hz+5 extra)
      3.  If you are done and there is a line for each of your commands, you have to save the file in the Battlefield 1 folder named as “user.cfg”. Choose “Save as” in the “File” menu of Notepad. Find the Battlefield 1 folder, the standard folder should be located in “C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 1” unless you installed Origin somewhere else. Call your text file user.cfg and for “Save as type” you should choose “All Files”. Now just click the “Save” button and your config file will be stored in the Battlefield 1 folder.

If everything is right, you should now have a file called user.cfg in the “\Origin Games\Battlefield 1” location. Let’s say I want to show the FPS overlay permanently, and I do want to limit the FPS in Battlefield 1, here is how my user.cfg content would look like…

      Note

you can also add different commands if you want.
      STEP 2 (Nvidia):
Now you need to change some things in the Nvidia controlepanel:

      • Open “Adjust Image Settings with Preview” and select “Use the advance 3d image settings”
        (picture from the intwebs)
      • Now go to “Manage 3D settings” and set “Maximum pre-rendered frames” and make sure its set to “Use the advanced 3D image settings“.
And on “Power management mode” set it to “Prefer maximum performance” Because we don’t want to hold our beasts down!

So that should be it for Nvidia Cards.
      STEP 3 :
      Download the latsets Hotfix(16.11.1) here.

Try out this software to set the Max render settings.

      STEP 4 OPTITIONAL:
Enter this in the console to try out:
      RenderDevice.RenderAheadLimit 0 – (default value)
      RenderDevice.RenderAheadLimit 1
      RenderDevice.RenderAheadLimit 2
      RenderDevice.RenderAheadLimit 3
      Note:
These are all fixes that I found online and may or may not work for you.
